Abstract:Aiming at the problems of teaching industrial robots, such as high equipment cost, insufficient quantity and short operation time per student, using ABB IRB-120 robot as the research object, a comprehensive simulation platform was designed based on RobotStudio. First, create models in RobotStudio based on the workstation parameters. Then use smart components to create dynamic tools and configure IO signals. Finally, write robot teaching program able to experiment handling, assembly, and drawing curves. Simulation results show that the platform can simulate the actual operation well and provides a theoretical basis and design platform for the development and research of robot automatic workstation, reduces the cost of workstation design and debugging, improves the safety of operation, and enhances students' practical ability.
