    遥感图像品质表征与评价是遥感领域的重要研究内容之一。当前,遥感工程应用中对图像进行客观评价的方法主要是基于成像系统性能指标的表征与评价,如调制传递函数( MTF )、信噪比( SNR )指标等。然而,这类方法忽视了从主观判读的角度出发,对图像品质进行分析和估计,因此制约了以解译度为基础的图像质量评价方法研究。随着近年来无参考图像质量评价逐渐受到关注,涌现出了一批具有视觉相关性的图像质量评价算法。这类算法利用自然图像的NSS ( Natural Scene Statistics )特性从多个维度对图像质量进行评价,具有处理速度快、通用性强等优点。一方面,这类方法给遥感图像质量评价任务提供了新的思路,也打开了当前MTF指标评价方法在图像内容方面存在的限制。另一方面,这类方法在实际遥感应用中是否能取代传统成像性能指标评价方法还有待分析和论证。本研究重点分析NSS图像特征参量与MTF指标在图像清晰度表征问题中的相关性,在两个不同图像测试集上进行相关性计算的结果表明,NSS图像特征参量与MTF指标具有强相关性。这一结论为无参考图像质量评价方法在工程应用中的推广和实现提供了理论支撑和指导意义。

    Abstract:

    The characterization and assessment of remote sensing image quality is an important research contents in the field of remote sensing. At present, the objective image assessment method in remote sensing engineering application is mainly based on the characterization and evaluation of imaging system performance indicators, such as modulation transfer function (MTF), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), etc. However, this kind of method ignores the analysis and estimation of image quality from the perspective of subjective interpretation, which restricts the research of image quality assessment method based on image interpretation degree. In recent years, no-reference image quality assessment has attracted increasing attention, and a number of image quality assessment algorithms with visual relevance have emerged. This kind of algorithm uses the NSS (natural scene statistics) characteristics of natural image to evaluate the image quality from multiple dimensions. It has the advantages of fast processing speed and strong versatility. On the one hand, this kind of method provides a new idea for the remote sensing image quality evaluation task, but also opens the limitation of the current MTF index evaluation method in the image content. On the other hand, whether this method can replace the traditional imaging performance index evaluation method in practical remote sensing application remains to be analyzed and demonstrated. This study focuses on the analysis of the correlation between NSS image feature parameters and MTF index in the problem of image definition representation. The results of correlation calculation on two different image test sets show that NSS image feature parameters and MTF index have strong correlation. This conclusion provides theoretical support and guiding significance for the promotion and implementation of no-reference image quality assessment method in engineering application.
