Abstract:Abstract: New application scenarios such as IoT or next-generation 5G mobile communication networks require higher time synchronization accuracy and highly scalable synchronization protocols. White Rabbit Precision Time Protocol (WR-PTP) is a multi-cooperative open project that distributes time with sub-nanosecond precision to thousands of downlinks in Synchronization Ethernet (SyncE). node. In the article, after studying the technical characteristics of WR-PTP, a compact and independent WR-PTP dual-port clock module is developed based on WR-PTP Core (WRPC) to complete the time synchronization experimental test. Finally, in the optical fiber link, the time synchronization experiment shows that the point-to-point time synchronization deviation is 232.8ps, the time synchronization accuracy is 42.3ps, the cascaded time synchronization deviation is -421.3ps, and the time synchronization accuracy is 53.7ps.
